Las Vegas offers Haitian food & has two locations, this one on Blue Hill Ave & another in Hyde Park. Honestly, for the price, you cannot complain. They do $5 plates & one plate is more than enough for two meals for me. I usually get griot, sometimes turkey, and eat half then save the other half for later in the day or next day. Ordering can be done in person, over the phone, or through Ubereats pick up.
it has been a while but when i was getting the plates uhm umm umm by the way the online menu is upside down cannot rotate it
So I got say I normally have no issue with these folks. Good food, normally fast service. The last time I called though, I called from home. It takes me 15 mins to drive there. So as im driving there they actually picked up the phone and had me waiting on hold sort of. I guess they just picked the receiver up and left it on the counter. As I sit on hold I'm listening to multiple people approach the counter and make their orders. It's obvious my phone order is a low priority. Nearly 12 minutes after my call began a lady picks up the phone and says "Hello?". I give her my order as she tries to rush me off the phone. Then she has the chutzpah to tell me the order will take 20 mins to make. Kind of frustrating.
I love everything they have to offer The fried plantain is especially on point with the chicken in sauce, the sauce is so on point, you might think your Haitian mom whipped it up. On top of that, the rice is always exactly what you need whether its the white rice, rice and beans or even the black rice. My personal favorite is the legumes which is a melange of vegetables stewed in an incredibly flavorful sauce that goes incredibly with white rice but if you're looking for something more creative, make sure yo go with the black rice, I promise you won't be disappointed Definitely one of my go to takeout spots
